Diocese of Rockville Center Is New SBC Client

SBC welcomes the Diocese of Rockville Center as a new client. The Dioceses purchased our Defined Benefit and Billing Management solutions, as well as our Employee Self-Service module. The Diocese of Rockville Centre (by population) is the second largest Roman Catholic diocese in the United States. Located in Long Island, NY, the Diocese is made up of 134 parishes, as well as the Diocesan corporation.

"SBC often works with religious institutions and other non-profit clients. These organizations have special needs, which SBC has become expert in meeting,” said Carmen Batten, Vice President of Business Development for SBC.

"Chief among these needs is the ability to manage multiple locations, as well as employees who move between locations during their careers. Lifeworks can manage these circumstances gracefully,” said Batten.

The Diocese is comprised of hospitals, parishes, schools and other associated institutions. Its ministry includes some 1,463 members. Additionally, The Diocese is the second largest non-governmental employer on Long Island with approximately 19,800 lay employees.
